photoThe AU5400 analyzer automates and consolidates chemistry-immuno testing with up to 147 on-board chemistries and up to 6,600 tests per hour. It is designed to upgrade and replace this company’s AU5200 analyzers used in large commercial laboratories.
To meet the varying demands of high-volume labs, the system is available in the two-module AU5421 and three-module AU5431 configurations. Its integrated track system routes samples to the processing modules for simultaneous test processing.
This random-access system uses reagent pipetting to eliminate wasteful reagent priming. The single, high-speed platform allows labs to perform the majority of general and special chemistries. This company’s 122-test menu features general, special and urine chemistries, TDMs, DATs and thyroid. Barcoded reagents are stable liquid and ready to use.
The Windows NT-based software allows operator training and maintenance through an on-line operator’s manual, context-sensitive Help functions and computer-generated video clips. Technical support is modem-linked. CLIA, NCCLS, and CAP compliance is supported by software documentation QC features.
Compatible standardization between the AU400, AU640, AU2700, and AU5400 systems include identical user-interfaces, standardized results and reference ranges. All use the same reagents, consumables and parts. The AU2700 and AU 5400 systems, which are pending regulatory clearance, are not available for sale in the United States.
