Clorox Germicidal Spray Disinfectant

One-step process

Medicus Health, Grand Rapids, Mich, offers Clorox germicidal spray disinfectant, which is EPA-registered in 50 states as a one-step cleaner/disinfectant. The spray head features spray and foam settings that help to maximize the surface contact time. It provides a 30-second kill time for MRSA, VRE, salmonella, shigella, mycobacterium, and Legionella, and a 60-second kill time for vegetative C. difficile, and Hepatitis A, B, and C. The spray is a stabilized 2.4% sodium hypochlorite solution, better than 1:10 dilution, with a 12-month shelf life. This formula includes a scent-masking agent and a silicone corrosion inhibitor, which helps to eliminate the overpowering bleach aroma and makes it safe for most hard surfaces. It meets the disinfection requirements of OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen guidelines, and AOAC efficacy testing requirements for hospital disinfection.
