This issue marks the beginning of a new and faster way to follow up on products you find in these pages: the CLP Info Center at www.CLPmag.com. You’ll still find the tried-and-true Reader Service card right where you expect it – but now we’ve added another important option: one-stop, online access to all vendors.

For over 30 years, managers of busy labs have known CLP as “the pages to turn” to find every new product and service the marketplace has to offer. Through our reader service cards alone, we pass along thousands of requests for product information each month, tens of thousands in a year. It’s our greatest satisfaction to know that we are so often the first to show you innovative products designed to help you manage your workplace with the expertise of new technology, the relief of automation, and a greater feeling of safety.

We appreciate the challenging and fast-paced work environments that our readers confront daily. In response, we are always looking for new ways to help you keep a step ahead. So now CLP provides another option for you to find product information, fast!

More and more, today’s buyers want instant everything. And no matter our age, many of us have joined the new read-and-click generation. Our jobs are busier — we may simply not have the time to call or write to inquire about specific products and services, or the patience to wait for the mail to arrive to assess our options. We prefer to “click” to access information, answers or contacts we need. And the easier we at CLP can make this process, the better we can serve you.

About three years ago, realizing how much people were already relying on the Internet, we decided to list the Web site of each vendor in our product news briefs. Now we’ve gone a step better — by eliminating many steps for you. Today, CLP readers can reach any vendor, and have a vendor reach you if you choose, by accessing a single Web page every time – www.clpmag.com. Select “CLP Info Center” and the choice is yours: one click submits your inquiry direct to as many vendors as you choose; or you can use the (anonymous) quick links to browse whatever vendor’s site you like, then return to ours.

If you choose to enter contact information, our Online Reader Service feature forwards that information to the vendor(s) of your choice for the product(s) of your choice. And your computer stores your contact information for your next visit, so you won’t need to type it again.

If you select the Quick-Link feature, we simply count your click-thru, and as a result no demographic information will be captured or sent to anyone.

Through both of these features, you can freely get the information you want from any vendors who appear in our magazine pages.

Quick-Link is a tool for the new age, putting you just one click away from direct links to a world of product specs and industry contacts. Readers will not find an easier, quicker way to obtain the information they need. And for CLP, there is an enormous symbiotic benefit: tracking the hits a vendor generates allows us to appreciate what our readers are interested in — so we can bring you more, and serve you better.

Quick-Link is the option for those readers who’d like to browse and remain anonymous, while the new Online Reader Service feature is the option for those readers who want an instant and easy way to request information from a vendor. Both begin at www.clpmag.com, with a click on the CLP Info Center button.

But before you leave our home page, feel free to take a moment to type in a keyword to search for more products of the type you need, or feature articles that discuss the technology behind them and economic benefits they promise. After all, you’ve freed up at least a little time to allow you to delve a bit deeper into the world of Clinical Lab Products.
