Sedisure, an erythrocyte sedimentation rate control, manufactured from human red blood cells, mimics actual patient samples. Its two formulas are: Sedisure for manual methods and Sedisure Rapid to monitor accelerated methods.
The controls are packaged in a self-contained rack with glass tubes in a bi-level, 6 x 9mL set to allow laboratorians to leave the controls in the pullout rack at room temperature for up to six months unopened, and up to 90 days once the tubes are opened. The controls offer 18-month stability, and the package insert includes a log to record the results of quality control testing on a daily basis.
