ANY LAB TEST NOW®, the first retail direct-access lab testing franchise with over 55 locations nationwide, has partnered with Atherotech Inc, a Birmingham, Alabama-based CLIA-laboratory to provide the VAP® Cholesterol Test direct to consumers. The VAP Cholesterol Test is an expanded cholesterol profile that identifies a greater number of people at risk and is the first cholesterol test to directly measure LDL.
ANY LAB TEST NOW offers thousands of medical lab tests and Value Panels affordably to consumers and businesses in a convenient retail setting. Each location works with local physicians to provide patients — specifically self-pay and un-/under-insured — with a more affordable lab testing alternative. No appointment or insurance is necessary and results are typically given within 24-48 hours.
The comprehensive VAP Cholesterol Test is based on ultracentrifugation. Through this process, the VAP Test gives customers and their doctors comprehensive information on the treatment and management of cardiovascular conditions. The test, which doesn’t require fasting, provides direct measurements of LDL, HDL and all relevant subclasses, and includes non-HDL, a highly accurate determination of apoB, and emerging risk factors such as Lp(a), remnants and small dense LDL.

As part of the partnership, ANY LAB TEST NOW will offer the VAP Test individually at the low price of $79 and also include it as part of two Value Panels, the Metabolic Syndrome Panel ($229) and the Heart Health Panel ($279). The Metabolic Syndrome Panel also includes a Chemistry Panel with 16 essential tests, Hemoglobin A1c and Insulin. The Hearth Health Panel also includes a Chemistry Panel, C-Reactive Protein (High Sensitivity) and Homocysteine.
