Instrument Manager NT version 7.00 is now available. This release features menu-driven result processing through user-defined rules; collated specimen report by instrument in a user-defined format; newly designed user interface to result in productivity gains and improved usability; and concurrent, multi-user access.

These features are additions to Instrument Manager NT’s existing technology, which includes Specimen Management, a tool that allows the storage of results for review, edit and release to the LIS. The specimen management feature also allows the tracking of specimens by SID, PID, or by patient name, and enables the operator to look up both pending and completed tests. Specific tests also can be held for manual download.

The Specimen and Storage Retrieval feature allows operators to track stored specimens and query the archive database by SID, PID and name. This option tracks the aging of each carrier with notification of destruction date.
