Eppendorf Filtertips contain a hydrophobic, polyethylene filter that acts as a barrier against sample aerosols. The filter is securely integrated within the tip to eliminate slippage or position shift.
The tips are recommended for PCR to reduce the incidence of carry-over and false positives; handling radioactive materials to keep the pipette nose cone and shaft clean from radionuclide emissions; pipetting infectious biologicals to maximize containment and safety in handling hazardous materials; and applications where contamination is a concern.
They are supplied in presterile racks and are available in 2.5µL, 20µL, 200µL, 250µL, 350µL, and 1000µL filling capacities.
