Connection fittings

Diba Industries, Danbury, Conn, has expanded its line of Click-N-Seal™ connection fittings to suit a wider range of fluid connection types. Previously available for flared and ferrule connections, the company now offers the same torque assurance for barbed fluid connections. The reusable fittings provide objective feedback to installers, preventing excess torque that can lead to leaks and flow problems. The preassembled Click-N-Seal prevents the fitting over- or under-tightening in IVD and scientific equipment. Connections are available with 1/4-28 and M6 thread size fittings in three colors for easy connection coding and identification. Configurations are custom fit to any instrument manufacturer’s specification; customers may specify tubing material, inside diameter, and outside diameter of up to 1/8-inch.

Purair 20

Ductless fume hood

The Purair 20 ductless fume hood from Air Science USA, Fort Myers, Fla, has been designed to provide operator protection when using hazardous substances. A face velocity at 100 fpm ensures containment of fumes, and an alarm will alert the operator when the airflow falls to an unacceptable level. All mechanisms in the head section of the Purair 20 are on the clean side of the filter to help prevent contamination. All switches and electrical components are isolated from the dirty airflow and away from any contamination. The work area has a removable spillage tray, which can be easily cleaned. Optional integral lighting is available. It measures 49 inches wide by 27.5 inches deep by 47.5 inches high. Other sizes up to 96 inches wide are also available.

Hand and Stand Magnifiers

Vision USA, Cherry Hill, NJ, introduces a new line of Hand and Stand magnifiers, with powers from 3X to 14X. The magnifiers use LED technology, which eliminate the need to replace bulbs. The LED produces a bright light, which enhances the aspheric, antireflective coated lenses to produce crystal-clear images, and can allow batteries to last up to 50% longer than conventional lighted magnifiers. All magnifiers come with a drawstring case.
