American Esoteric Laboratories (AEL), Memphis, Tenn, an independent provider of esoteric and clinical laboratory services, has announced that it has merged the operations of two of its smaller labs in East Tennessee to better serve customers throughout the region from a larger and more centrally located facility in Knoxville, Tenn.
As a result of the merger, the majority of AEL’s experienced technical and IT staff members now operate out of the new 10,000 square-foot facility, located at 7501 Strawberry Plains Pike just off Interstate 40.
AEL will continue to operate its pathology laboratory in Morristown, Tenn., along with another patient collection center.
