productFive-part differential with cap-piercing
During 2001, this company will release the Coulter Ac-T 5diff CP hematology analyzer. The analyzer features cap-piercing capability, which can help improve workplace safety by reducing operators’ exposure to biohazards as well as repetitive motion injuries.
The analyzer uses Absorbance cytochemistry and Volume (AcV) technology in which white cell subpopulations are differentiated using a combination of cytochemical staining absorbance patterns, volume measurements and selective cell-specific lysis techniques.
The analyzer enhances lab efficiency by providing one-button start-up, shut-down and operation with selections for either CBC or CBC diff mode, as well as automatic flagging of results and user-defined patient and action ranges.
With no daily routine maintenance required, the analyzer can help save operator time. In addition, the analyzer includes an extensive database for patient demographic recall, sample results and histograms.
Ideal for small- to medium-sized hospitals, physicians’ offices, and small commercial labs, the analyzer features throughput up to 60 samples per hour and a compact design that requires little bench space. The system is powered by Microsoft Windows NT software.
