The FreeZone Plus 2.5 Liter Cascade Freeze Dry System has two refrigeration systems used in a series to cool the stainless steel collector to -84ÞC (-119ÞF). The 2.5 liter capacity collector is recommended for small sample loads. Designed for the benchtop, the freeze dryer may be mounted on a countertop.
The upright stainless steel collector chamber is capable of removing 1.25 liters of water in 24 hours and holds 2.5 liters of ice before defrosting. The vacuum and temperature graphs display relative system vacuum and collector temperatures. LED “waves” illuminate green when conditions are right to add samples.
A retractable nine-inch condensate drain hose is accessible from the side of the cabinet for convenient defrost. A wide variety of drying chambers and manifolds may be attached atop the collector chamber.
