Geomagic, a worldwide software and services company, has won a 2006 Triangle Business Journal Fast 50 Award for being one of the fastest growing private companies in the Triangle area of North Carolina. The award marks the third time that Geomagic has received the honor.
The Fast 50 list recognizes companies for revenue growth over a three-year period as tabulated by global accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Geomagic recorded double-digit revenue growth during the period.
Geomagic has established a global user base of more than 5,000 product-design and engineering professionals. The Geomagic software suite, including Geomagic Studio and Geomagic Qualify, provides a technology platform for reverse engineering, digital reconstruction, and part inspection that enables companies to be first-to-market with highly customized products delivered at the same speed and cost as mass-produced items.
The Triangle area is located between the cities of Durham, Raleigh and Chapel Hill and is home to one of the most prominent high-tech research and development centers in the country and is sometimes compared to Silicon Valley.
