The tabletop Cobas Integra 400 provides consolidation of general and special chemistries, special proteins, therapeutic drug monitoring, drugs-of-abuse testing and thyroid tests. Featuring 36 tests on board, the instrument integrates absorbance, fluorescence polarization, ISE and turbidimetry to enable routine and stat chemistries and homogeneous immunoassays to be performed on a single system.
The liquid reagent cassettes require no operator preparation. The cassette rack makes it possible to change the test mix while the analyzer is running. The system automatically opens the cassette; tracks the open date, reagent level and expiration date; and alerts the operator when remaining tests are low or a cassette has expired.
The computer and screen are incorporated into the system. An intuitive graphical user interface based on Windows NT provides system control, automated sample handling and immediate access to results and other information.
