The Minineph Prealbumin assay for in vitro diagnostic use is used in conjunction with the Minineph, a 10-inch-by-10-inch benchtop nephelometer. The prealbumin assay is swipe card calibrated. Curves are stored in memory to help reduce reagent costs. The assay gives results in 60 seconds, enabling the laboratory to comply with JCAHO requirements for nutritional testing.
