The Sickledex product line has changed hands from Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, to Streck Inc in an acquisition completed in February making Streck a leader in the sickle cell testing market.
Sickledex has been recognized as useful tool for sickle cell anemia screening since it was first introduced in 1968. The test indicates the presence or absence of the abnormal hemoglobin that causes sickle cell anemia.
