This recently introduced MAb Clone M86 monoclonal antibody for the study of human xenotransplantation and related research is suitable for measuring the a-Gal epitope expression on cells, glycolipids, glycoproteins and characterizing hyperacute rejection in organ and tissue transplantation. It also is useful for conducting cytotoxicity assays for a-Gal specific pathways, monitoring xenotransplantation experiments, and for screening inhibitors of antibody-induced cytotoxicity.
This IgM isotype mimicks an in vivo reaction and is highly specific for Gala1,3Gal epitopes on glycoproteins and glycolipids. It exhibits broad species cross-reactivity and does not cross-react with b-Gal glycoproteins or BSA.
