The Resilience-Ready Lab program focuses on specimen integrity and domestic manufacturing to help labs meet 2026 National Performance Goals.
Caresfield introduced its Resilience-Ready Lab initiative at the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) 2026 Clinical Lab Expo, unveiling a suite of products designed to address specimen integrity and supply chain volatility.
The initiative comes as the clinical laboratory industry faces the dual pressures of the 2026 National Performance Goals (NPG) and shifts in the global trade landscape. The company is focusing on the specimen as a vulnerable point in the diagnostic chain to reduce operational risk.
“The lab of the future doesn’t just need more tech; it needs better infrastructure,” says Kacie Bemmels, senior director of strategic partnership at Caresfield, in a release. “By focusing on specimen integrity and domestic supply resilience, we are helping lab leaders meet 2026 National Performance Goals without being sidelined by global market shifts or preventable clinical errors.”
Reducing Hemolysis Rates
A central component of the showcase is the Hemolysis and Precision Needle ROI Calculator. This clinical tool is intended to show how transitioning to the Precision needle line can help laboratories achieve a documented 40% reduction in hemolysis rates, according to the company. The goal is to protect sample integrity at the point of collection to avoid the costs associated with redraws.
The company also introduced its Audible Integrity urine collection line. These products, including Click-Top 95kPa specimen cups, newly launched integrated transfer solutions, and specialized urine kits, provide an audible seal to prevent leaks, redraws, and biohazard risks.
Supply Chain Stability
To address potential supply chain disruptions, Caresfield is prioritizing its United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement certified non-latex disposable tourniquets. These products are made with US raw materials to provide a reliable, tariff-free supply chain for laboratories.
The initiative also includes high-durability thermal labels and transport bags designed to safeguard samples and increase laboratory visibility during transit. At the ADLM expo, attendees can participate in an “Integrity Audit” to test the scan-rates of labels under laboratory conditions.
Tools for Lab Leadership
Caresfield has released several digital assets to assist lab leaders in navigating regulatory and economic changes. These tools include the 2026 NPG Readiness Checklist and the North American Supply Stability Guide.
The company says these resources are designed to help eliminate “redraw debt” and manage the complexities of the 2026 National Performance Goals. Other available tools include the Hemolysis Cost-Reduction Calculator, which helps labs quantify the financial impact of specimen errors.
