PMT Scientific, a company that designs morgue, pathology, histology, and vivarium medical equipment, has begun operating in Redford, Michigan. The new company is headed by business partners Max Corona and Jane VanDusen, industry veterans with more than 25 years of pathology equipment design, manufacturing, and installation experience.

The team established PMT Scientific to focus on providing custom grossing stations, along with a complete array of pathology equipment. VanDusen has assumed the role as PMT Scientific president, with Corona taking on the responsibility of PMT Scientific vice president of engineering.

With experience in product development, customization, and manufacturing for the anatomic pathology industry, Corona has developed, designed, and introduced more than a dozen new products during the course of his career. His most recent product, Forma-Flow, is a patent-pending formalin dispensing system for PMT Scientific’s grossing station.

VanDusen, who has held top leadership positions within the industry, is noted for her manufacturing expertise and quick production of customizable product offerings.
