Under the commercial agreement, Aiforia’s AI models will integrate into the AISight Dx platform to broaden laboratory access across the US and Europe.

Aiforia has entered into a commercial agreement with PathAI, a member of the Roche Group, to make Aiforia’s artificial intelligence solutions available to clinical laboratories through the AISight Marketplace.

The partnership combines Aiforia’s deep learning technology and portfolio of CE-IVD marked digital pathology applications in Europe with PathAI’s installed base in the US. By integrating the offerings, the companies aim to extend the reach of pathology AI models to a wider network of clinical laboratories across both markets.

“This agreement with PathAI is an important step in expanding access to Aiforia’s AI solutions. By making our models available through AISight Dx, we can reach laboratories and pathologists who are already working within PathAI’s platform and strengthen our presence especially in the US market,” says Jukka Tapaninen, CEO of Aiforia, in a release.

Integrating AI into Pathology Workflows

Under the agreement, Aiforia’s image analysis tools will integrate directly into PathAI’s AISight Dx Image Management System (IMS). AISight Dx holds CE-IVD marking for primary diagnosis in the EEA, CH, and UK.

Under the agreement, Aiforia’s AI solutions will be embedded directly into case review workflows within AISight Dx. Combined with PathAI’s expanding algorithm catalog and connectivity to lab and hospital IT systems through its AISight Link solution, the companies describe the result as a single, curated ecosystem for laboratories.

“Our goal with AISight Dx is to give pathologists everything they need in one place,” says Nick Brown, chief growth officer at PathAI, in a release. “With Aiforia’s AI solutions embedded directly into case review workflows, alongside our expanding algorithm catalog and seamless connectivity to lab and hospital IT systems through AISight Link, laboratories get a single, curated ecosystem spanning biomarker quantification, tissue classification, and diagnostic decision support, all contracted, billed, and supported through PathAI.”
