photoThis company has introduced several antibodies for immunohistochemistry including PNRA (Proximal Nephrogenic Renal Antigen), VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor), VEGF-C (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor-C) and MUC5AC.
PNRA, normally found in proximal renal tubules, can help characterize renal cell carcinomas. VEGF stimulates and induces migration and proliferation of endothelial cells and enhances vascular permeability. VEGF expression correlates with vascularity, metastasis and proliferation of tumors. Thus, its high expression in tumor tissue can be an indication of poor prognosis. VEGF-C has been linked to Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated angiogenesis and pathogenesis. Increased VEGF-C expression has been reported in the lymph node of invasive thyroid tumors. Also offered is mouse anti-MUC5AC for the study of mucinous (colloid) breast carcinoma and invasive ductal breast carcinoma.
