The CytoTherm model 4D, a plasma thawer that thaws dry, keeps bothhandling and the plasma bags dry. There is no handling of overwrap bags and no exposed water. Bags are placed on a warm bed and covered with a warm blanket where they are then rocked and massaged. The bed and blanket have confined water recirculating through them to guarantee that the components are warmed evenly at 37ºC.
If a bag leaks, sensors sound an alarm. The product can thaw 6 x 400mL or 3 x 1000mL bags. Photo-Therm
